Went there last week (I guess their 2nd day open). Great look and feel inside. Staff was very friendly but seemed pretty new. They didn’t know how to make the first 3 coffee/chai’s I asked for and I settled for a regular coffee. Will be back to test them out again.

This place really isn’t very good. I live a block away and was really hoping a solid eatery would take over Sanctuary’s old spot, but The Amsterdam was not it. The workers there clearly had no experience working in the food business, and the owner - who was working the register - was not helping them at all, he probably doesn’t either.
The food wasn’t bad, but the portions are dwarfed by a dozen restaurants within a few blocks. The fries were practically raw and a buddy of mine got chicken that was pink on the inside. Prices weren’t that great either.
Overall, I’d say the owner needs to care less about shtick, and more about his customers.

Too bad……….. The Sanctuary used to be a good comic book shop as well ……….
