Milk & Cookies: Free Storytelling Series for Children - Animal Tales

The State Theatre announces an all-new lively, interactive, and FREE three-part storytelling series entitled MILK & COOKIES for children, ages three to eight, and their parents. This brand new initiative, fully-funded and sponsored by the Provident Bank Foundation and presented by the State Theatre, is a total of six performances on three select Saturdays at 10am and 12pm. Each performance will contain live music and will encourage audience participation. Space is limited, so advance registration is strongly recommended. To register call 732-246-SHOW.
Felix Pitre—Animal Tales (Cuentos Animales)

Felix Pitre brings to life the culture of Latin America with puppetry, stories, songs, instruments, and dance—performed in English interwoven with Spanish words and phrases. In Animal Tales, Felix presents a collection of animal stories and songs from Brazil, Mexico, and Peru celebrating the environment and teaching respect for creatures large and small. As a storyteller, Pitre has performed throughout the U.S., including Washington’s Kennedy Center and the Smithsonian’s Discovery Theatre. His picture books, Juan Bobo and the Pig, and Paco and the Witch have been published in both English and Spanish.
