Celebrating Good Health For All In Need

Throughout the years, Elijah’s Promise has recognized the growing need for members from our community to have access to health care services. In particular the agency has worked hard to provide individuals with preventative care tools such as nutrition education. “These difficult economic times have dramatically increased the number of individuals we are serving,” said Lisanne Finston, Executive Director of Elijah’s Promise. “It is through programs like the health fair that we are able to provide critical services to those who need them,” said Finston.

Over 350 are expected to attend the event. The program will provide various health screenings, including but not limited to Glucose Screening, Cholesterol, Blood Pressure, Heights and Weight, Vision Screening, Chiropractor and HIV tests. In addition there will be family entertainment such as music, D.J. Lady “C’, children’s activities, face paintings, free food, and much more.

“Folks are desperate for access to these services and we hope this day will provide our community members with some important healthcare tools,” said Yvette Molina, Elijah’s Promise, Director of Community Service.
