When: October 26, 2008 - 12:00PM - 05:00PM
Where: throughout town at studios

The event will offer the public free self-guided tours of local artists’ studios representing an exciting variety of art media. Visitors will have a chance to meet the artists in person, see their work environment, ask questions about their technique and process, or even see a demonstration.
In addition to visiting artists in their home environments, visitors will be able to view more work in the Alternate Studio Space provided by the IM Gallery at 235 Raritan Avenue in Highland Park. This space allows artists who do not have their own studio, or who are not conveniently located in the downtown area, or whose studios are not accessible, to show their work in an alternate space in the gallery.
On the day of Open Studios, artists’ sites will be clearly marked with signs and tour maps will be available at various locations around town, including the Highland Park Public Library at 31 North 5th Avenue. Accessibility details and up-to-date information will be available online at the Highland Park Artists web site, www.highlandparkartists.org, and on Channel 15 (Cablevision, Local Programming).
