The walking tour, which takes about an hour, explores the origins of Rutgers, its traditions, and architectural points of interests. The area includes some of the university’s oldest buildings.
There is no charge for individuals for the regularly-scheduled tours. There is a nominal fee for groups of 10 or more. Historical tours are offered by appointment every Friday at 11:30 am and Saturday at 12:30 pm during the Fall and Spring Semesters. Admission to regularly-scheduled tours is free. During Summer Break, tours are available on Fridays at 11:30 am by appointment or call to arrange an alternate time. Reservations should be made by 10 am on the Thursday prior to the tour you wish to attend. For more information, call Campus Information Services at 732-445-5745 x2619. The holiday Scrooge classic is re-imagined with a cast of 30 singers, dancers, and musicians. The semi-staged musical features Victorian costumes, modern choreography, and wonderful music that takes you on journey as Scrooge visits his own past, present, and future. Ebenezer Scrooge, Jacob Marley and Tiny Tim take center stage in this hearty and heartfelt production, created by New York composer Philip David Stern. Scrooge had its Off-Broadway premiere in 1998 at the Lambs Theater in Manhattan.
