Nalmes has dedicated itself to promoting and preserving the folk traditions of the Adygeans—the ancient dwellers of the North Caucasus. The 70-member ensemble has won the top prize at international folk competitions, earning accolades for the beauty, energy, and authenticity of their spectacular performances. This is a rare opportunity to experience the music, dance, swordplay, and gorgeous costumes of a rich culture that is barely known outside of Russia.
