Where: Rt. 27/Raritan Avenue, Highland Park
Community fesitivities continue as Raritan Avenue will be closed to vehicular traffic between Second Avenue and Fifth Avenue for the day of festivities. The street will be lined with approximately 160 artists, crafters, and vendors. The entire day of family fun will also include food, inflatable rides, pony rides, a petting zoo, games, and continuous live musical entertainment.
DJ Rob will create an “outdoor dance party” at the event, followed by a live performance by “David Easton Band”. “The Tonemasters”, the well known blues quintet will play several of their album cuts, which are regularly heard on Jazz Radio WBGO.
World-renowned comedic juggler Will Shaw will delight the crowd with his humor and juggling skills. Mr. Shaw has appeared on national TV and has performed throughout the world.
Radio station NJ 101.5-FM will be present at the event and will be giving away prizes.

What: A Run in the Park (HP-5K) - HP-5K! First ever run through downtown
When: May 17 @ 9am
Where: Highland Park
Participants should meet at 8 a.m. near the doughboy statue on Raritan Avenue. The race begins at 9 a.m. and lasts an hour. There will be an awards ceremony at 10:30 a.m. There will be a top overall prize for the fastest male and female and first-place male and female awards for specific age groups.
Runners, walkers, children and adults are encouraged to participate.
