Highway 61 Revisited recreates Bob Dylan’s greatest music and stage shows, featuring the songs that made Bob Dylan a cultural icon and legend: “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door,” “Like A Rolling Stone,” “Hurricane,” “Tangled Up in Blue” and “All Along the Watchtower” as well as new hits like “Things Have Changed.” For this tour, Highway 61 Revisited will especially feature songs from the 1975-1976 Bob Dylan Rolling Thunder Revue tour, including “Isis,” “One More Cup of Coffee,” “Joey,” and many more. With an acoustic and an electric set, fans of all ages revel in experiencing Bob Dylan again, or for the first time!

This look alike/sound alike Bob Dylan Tribute features three former Dylan band members, special guests violinist Scarlet Rivera and bassist Rob Stoner from Bob Dylan’s Desire album and Rolling Thunder Revue tour of 1975-1976, and drummer Winston Watson from Dylan’s 1992-1996 Never Ending Tour band.

Mason Gross School of the Arts will return for the next installment of “Rutgers In New York” on Monday, April 13, 2009 at the Blue Note Jazz Café in Manhattan. Featuring performances by the Rutgers Jazz Ensemble under the direction of Ralph Bowen and Rutgers Jazz Faculty featuring Conrad Herwig, the concert also welcomes back alumnus Sean Jones, lead trumpeter of the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra. Members of the faculty performing are Stanley Cowell, piano; Ralph Bowen, saxophone; Conrad Herwig, trombone; Vic Juris, guitar; and Mike Richmond, bass. Alumnus Rudy Royston will also be on percussion.
