In the spirit of reunion, alumni Chef David Drake, chef-owner of David Drakes in Rahway and Daryl’s in New Brunswick and alumni Chef Eric Hambrecht, chef-owner at the Stage House Restaurant in Scotch Plains, will join Chef Bruce Lefebvre to create a 4-course menu featuring signature dishes from the Frog’s past. Wines will be matched with each course by F&P Front of the House alumni now in the wine business; former GM Michael Apostolos now with Wine Bow, Pete “the bar tender” Reseska now of Matt Brothers and the tall handsome former server Jeffrey Sapara currently of Palm Bay will be here presenting the wines. The wine dinner will begin with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres in the Garden Room, followed by dinner. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the New Brunswick Ronald McDonald House. Elijah’s Promise Culinary School will host its second Farm to Table event at the Middlesex County EARTH Center, home to Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Middlesex County. Located in Davidson’s Mill Pond Park, 42 Riva Ave. South Brunswick, the EARTH Center has a goal of educating central Jersey residents on the concept of environmental stewardship.
The object of the Farm to Table series is to bring attention to the value of purchasing fresh, locally grown produce, which reduces pollution created by shipping food long distances. Attendees also experience the preparation methods used by chefs to get the most enjoyment out of these seasonal crops. The food picked from the EARTH Center’s 12,000+ square-foot vegetable garden and prepared by Elijah’s Promise chefs will be available for tasting.

Not sure if we spelled the name right, the space next to Evelyn’s which used to be the old laundromat is finally coming together and should be open soon. There is a HUGE bar in the middle - great tiling throughout. DJ Booth in the back. Looks to be a nice space. The owner is the same one that owns Evelyn’s - there will be access from the back of Toula to the back courtyard at Evelyn’s.
